About this scheme
The Investment Subsidy for Sub-Large & Large Enterprises (General Industries) operates as an incentive under the Andhra Pradesh Textile and Apparel Growth (AP TAG) Policy 4.0. The scheme extends support to sub-large and large enterprises setting up new industrial units, expanding existing facilities, or diversifying into new product lines within the state.
By providing a subsidy on Fixed Capital Investment (FCI), the scheme intends to improve industrial competitiveness, generate employment, and build a manufacturing ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. It also sets out the quantum of support along with guidelines for transparent, time-bound disbursement to eligible units.
The incentive is directed at drawing significant industrial investment and supporting economic development across general industrial sectors.

How to apply
1. **Project Registration**: Once commercial operations begin, or when expansion or diversification is initiated, an enterprise seeking the subsidy must register its project with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
2. **Submission of Application**: A comprehensive application form is to be filed together with the supporting documents required under the AP TAG 4.0 policy guidelines — project reports, financial statements, evidence of Fixed Capital investment, and statutory clearances.
3. **Verification and Scrutiny**: Designated authorities examine the application and the accompanying documents in detail, checking that eligibility criteria and policy provisions are satisfied.
4. **Approval and Sanction**: Where verification is successful, the competent authority grants approval and issues a sanction order stating the amount approved and the schedule for disbursement.
5. **Disbursement**: The subsidy is released in tranches across the stipulated period of 4 or 5 years. Release depends on the enterprise meeting the conditions set out in the sanction order and continuing the operations it committed to.
How applications are assessed
Applications first undergo a completeness check against the basic eligibility criteria. Those that clear this stage are taken up for technical and financial appraisal by a committee drawn from the Department of Industries & Commerce along with subject experts. The appraisal weighs the project's viability, the size of eligible Fixed Capital Investment, and how far it fits the state's industrial development goals.
The committee's recommendations then go to the sanctioning authority, which grants final approval. Only enterprises that meet the qualifying conditions are awarded the subsidy.
