Chhattisgarh SC/ST Land Premium Exemption

Under Chhattisgarh's Special Package for SC/ST Entrepreneurs, land allotted in industrial areas carries a 100% exemption on land premium. The concession applies to plots in areas managed by the Directorate of Industries or the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC). By waiving this upfront cost, the package lowers the initial capital an SC/ST entrepreneur must commit to acquiring industrial land.

Annual lease rent on such land is fixed at ₹1 per acre per year. This nominal rate reduces the recurring cost of holding an allotted plot, which in turn makes industrial units more financially viable to set up and operate.

The exemption and the nominal rent together form part of the state's effort to extend direct support to SC/ST entrepreneurs and encourage investment and job creation.

Other charges are not covered. Maintenance, street light, water, and applicable taxes and cess remain payable at the prescribed rates, which fund upkeep and development of the industrial infrastructure.

SC/ST entrepreneurs who wish to claim this exemption need to submit a land allotment application for industrial areas via either the Directorate of Industries or the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC). The Special Package for SC/ST Entrepreneurs policy governs how applications are handled, while the plot size allotted is decided in accordance with the Chhattisgarh Audyogik Bhumi Bhawan Prabandhan Niyam - 2015. Documents generally sought include evidence of SC/ST category, a project report, and the enterprise's incorporation details.
