About this scheme

The "Assistance For Quality Certification" sub-scheme operates under the broader "Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)" for the MSME Sector, which is administered by the Department of Industries, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. First introduced in July 2015, the scheme has been extended to remain in force from May 20, 2022, until May 19, 2027. The parent IPS is designed to support and incentivise MSMEs, helping them withstand market volatility. It also seeks to increase women's participation in business and lower local unemployment by encouraging industries to hire resident workers.

The sub-scheme specifically assists eligible MSME units in securing national and international quality certifications. This support enables the introduction of quality products into competitive markets, which raises quality benchmarks, sharpens competitiveness, boosts product demand, and secures the long-term viability of manufacturing units. Through these quality improvements, MSMEs are better positioned to grow and contribute to the region's industrial progress.
