About this scheme
The Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme, introduced in 2018 by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa, forms part of the state's Information Technology Policy Schemes. It aims to strengthen Goa's IT sector by offering recruitment support to eligible IT units. The scheme supports the state's IT Policy, which seeks to establish Goa as an attractive base for IT companies by promoting investment and expansion.
Under the scheme, new and existing IT units in Goa can receive a grant of ₹10,000 for each fresher hired through campus placements from educational institutes within the state. This subsidy offsets hiring costs and encourages local employment. The assistance is paid only if the recruited fresher completes at least six months of continuous employment, ensuring that the benefit contributes to sustained job stability.

How applications are assessed
The assessment of applications under the Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme is carried out in stages. Once an incentive application is received, it enters a review period of roughly 30 days. During this time, the submission is checked against a standard list of requirements, covering the applicant’s legal entity status, evidence of operations in Goa, Aadhaar linkage of bank accounts, and particulars of the freshers recruited.
After this scrutiny is completed successfully, the application moves to an Empowered Committee, which holds the authority to grant final approval. If the committee sanctions the assistance, a Sanction Order is released, and payment of ₹10,000 per eligible fresher is processed, generally within 90 days of the original application date. Applications that fail to meet the criteria receive a Regret Letter instead.
