About this scheme
The Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme, introduced in 2018, forms part of the "Information Technology Policy Schemes" of the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. It extends recruitment assistance to eligible IT units, with the aim of strengthening the state's information technology sector. The scheme sits within Goa's IT Policy, which seeks to establish the state as a geographical and human resource base for IT companies and to create conditions favourable to investment and expansion.
New and existing IT units in Goa may avail financial assistance under the scheme. A grant of ₹10,000 is offered for every fresher hired through campus placements from educational institutes located within Goa. This support offsets part of the cost of recruiting new talent, encourages employment generation and helps retain skilled individuals in the state.
The assistance is disbursed as a subsidy and is contingent on the recruited fresher completing at least six months of continuous employment. Through this, the scheme supports the growth of local IT enterprises and the supply of a qualified workforce to the industry.

How applications are assessed
Applications for the Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme are assessed in more than one stage. Once an incentive application is received, it is scrutinised for roughly 30 days against a set checklist, covering the applicant's legal entity type, evidence of operations in Goa, Aadhaar linkage of bank accounts and particulars of the recruited freshers, to confirm that every stated eligibility condition is met.
An application that clears scrutiny then goes to an Empowered Committee, which takes the final decision on sanctioning the assistance. Where the committee approves, a Sanction Order is issued and disbursement of ₹10,000 per eligible fresher begins, usually within 90 days of the application first being received. Applications that fail to meet the criteria receive a Regret Letter.
