How applications are assessed
The Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) begins by verifying each application it receives. If the form or supporting documents are incomplete, a query is raised with the applicant. After successful verification, DITC assigns an official to physically inspect the entity. This inspection checks all records and documents against the operational guidelines and a standard checklist. Inspecting officers must upload their reports to the portal within 48 hours, where the entrepreneur can view them.
If the inspection report is satisfactory, the application moves to the Chief Executive Officer of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) for due diligence. Following the CEO's recommendation, DITC prepares an appraisal note for each case. These notes go to the Incentive Review Committee (IRC), which deliberates and sanctions the claims. Based on the IRC's recommendations, DITC then prepares an approval note for the Accounts Department to release the incentives. Sanctioned claims are listed in chronological order and paid out in the order they were received, on a first-come, first-served basis.
