About this scheme
The Goa State Logistics and Warehousing Incentives Scheme, introduced by the Department of Industries, Government of Goa, is administered by the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC). Its purpose is to offer financial support to the logistics and warehousing sector within the state. This particular component provides a subsidy through the reimbursement of Stamp Duty and Registration Charges.
The incentive is directed at developers establishing new logistics and warehousing projects, as well as those pursuing expansion or diversification. A full 100% reimbursement is available, subject to a ceiling of ₹10,00,000 for Stamp Duty and ₹10,00,000 for Registration Charges, with each component claimable once. This arrangement lowers the upfront expenditure associated with purchasing or leasing land, buildings, or sheds, thereby encouraging investment and strengthening Goa's logistics infrastructure.

How applications are assessed
The Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) begins by reviewing the application and may seek clarifications from the applicant regarding any deficiencies in the form or supporting documents. Once verification is complete, DITC assigns an official to inspect the Entity and check all records against the verification-cum-recommendation checklist (Annexure X). The inspection report is uploaded to the portal within 48 hours and shared with the entrepreneur. During inspection, the official confirms the Land/Building address, project category, construction completion date, and commercial operation commencement date.
Following the inspection, the application moves to the Chief Executive Officer of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) for due diligence. Based on Goa-IPB's recommendation, DITC prepares an appraisal note for the Incentive Review Committee (IRC), which scrutinises and sanctions claims. After the IRC's input, DITC issues the final approval note to the Accounts Department for disbursal. Sanctioned claims are processed in chronological order and paid within a maximum of 90 days from application receipt.
