- Applicant must be an individual, a group of individuals, or a Partnership Firm. - Must have availed financial assistance for self-employment under the Chief Minister’s Rozgar Yojana (CMRY), Dr. Verghese Kurien Rojgar Yojana (VKRY), or from Nationalized/Scheduled Commercial/Co-operative Banks, and registered Credit Societies. - Combined annual income of the applicant and spouse must not exceed ₹3,00,000. - Minimum 7th grade passed (relaxable in deserving cases). - Applicant must be below 42 years of age (age limit relaxable by 5 years for women, disabled, SC/ST, and OBC). - Applicant must be born in Goa and a resident for at least 15 years prior to application. - The activity carried out must not be covered under the Red Category or related to tobacco and liquor. - Must not be receiving assistance under VKRY/CMRY for specific vehicle acquisitions or be a beneficiary of other government subsidy schemes providing 25% or more.

How to apply

- Obtain the prescribed application proforma from the Economic Development Corporation, Panaji. - Fill out the application form completely and pay ₹25/- as the form cost, along with a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200/-. Attach the processing fee receipt to your submission. - Submit the completed application, addressed to the Managing Director of the Economic Development Corporation, in person at the office located at EDC House, Panaji-Goa. - Beneficiaries currently receiving assistance under the Chief Minister’s Rozgar Yojana or Dr. Verghese Kurien Rojgar Yojana Scheme are not required to apply separately, as they are automatically included under this scheme.

How applications are assessed

The Task Force Committee (TFC), constituted under the Chief Minister’s Rozgar Yojana/Dr. Verghese Kurien Rojgar Yojana Scheme, examines every application received and subsequently recommends eligible ones for the subsidy. For proposals already appraised under the same scheme, the TFC acts as the sanctioning authority.

The Directorate of Industries, Trade & Commerce allocates the required budgetary provisions for the scheme and transfers the funds to the Economic Development Corporation once subsidy claims are submitted.
