How to apply
1. **Step 1: Get the application form:** The official form can be downloaded from the CED website.
2. **Step 2: Complete the application:** Enter all the details the form asks for — particulars of the MSME, the employee being sponsored, and the training programme selected. Make sure every supporting document required is enclosed.
3. **Step 3: Send in the application:** Once filled, the application is to be submitted to The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) at the address given. Two application windows are held each year, usually in April and October.
4. **Step 4: Scrutiny and appraisal:** The proposals received are examined and appraised by a dedicated committee, which checks their feasibility and whether they conform to the scheme's guidelines.
5. **Step 5: Recommendation to SLEC:** The committee then forwards its recommendations to the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC), which considers them and grants final approval.
How applications are assessed
A designated committee scrutinises and appraises every application. It judges each proposal on feasibility and on how far it matches the scheme's objectives, so that only MSMEs meeting the criteria and training programmes likely to be effective are put forward.
The committee then sends its recommendations to the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC), which reviews them and grants the final approval. The SLEC holds the deciding say on financial assistance.
