Subsidy Scheme For Establishment Of Goat Unit (10+1) For General Category People (State - Gujarat)

The Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Co-operation, Government of Gujarat, has introduced the Subsidy Scheme for Establishment of Goat Unit (10+1) for General Category People. It is designed to assist economically disadvantaged livestock breeders in Gujarat by helping them set up a goat unit. Each beneficiary must procure 10 female goats and 1 male goat. The scheme subsidises part of the unit cost, covering expenses for food, water, fodder, residence, and concentrates.

Beneficiaries are required to fund 50% of the unit cost themselves. The scheme mandates that the unit operate for at least 3 years, during which beneficiaries must maintain milk production records and share information during departmental visits. This support contributes to sustainable rural livelihoods and agricultural productivity in the state.

- **Step 01:** Submit your application online through the I-Khedut Portal (https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/iKhedutPublicScheme/Public/frm_Public_ANH2_SchemeApplicaiton.aspx). - **Step 02:** Select "Apply Newly" to initiate a fresh application. - **Step 03:** Before final submission, use the "Update Application" option to rectify any errors, ensuring the information provided is correct. - **Step 04:** Attach all necessary documents via the "Upload Documents" tab. Each scanned PDF must be no larger than 200 KB. - **Step 05:** Complete the confirmation process within seven days of saving the application online. Without confirmation, the application will not be processed. - **Step 06:** Print the confirmed application form, affix your signature or thumb impression, and deliver it with all supporting paperwork to the relevant office or the nearest veterinary dispensary within seven days. As an alternative, you may upload a scanned version of the signed application and other documents to the portal under the "Signed Application Print Upload" and "Other Document Upload" sections. Providing either a physical copy or an uploaded signed copy is compulsory.

Applications are assessed following online submission and confirmation. The scheme functions on a pre-approval model. After receiving pre-approval, beneficiaries have 90 days to procure and set up their goat unit. If this deadline is not met, or if the beneficiary is considered disabled, the approval order is cancelled. In these situations, the approval moves to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list, which helps ensure the scheme's benefits are used effectively.
