About this scheme

Under the Industrial Investment Policy 2019, the Government of Himachal Pradesh offers the Reimbursement for Export Sample Shipment. The scheme lightens the logistics cost burden borne by Export Oriented Units (EOUs) by refunding part of what they spend on sending export samples from a port or container depot in India to the destination port overseas.

By offsetting these costs, the programme seeks to sharpen the ability of Himachal Pradesh-based firms to compete internationally and to encourage them to grow their export operations without heavy upfront logistics spending.

Since sample dispatch is a key step in entering new markets, the support is intended to help local enterprises build international business and gain a foothold abroad.
