About this scheme

The sub-scheme for medical equipment and accessories, medical diagnostics, and AYUSH products manufacturing units operates under the broader Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS) for Thrust Sectors. The Department of Industries, U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu introduced it on July 3, 2015. Its current validity runs from May 20, 2022, to May 19, 2027, following an extension.

The parent IPS aims to develop the UT into a hub for sectors such as furniture, increase women's participation in business, lower unemployment, and encourage the hiring of local labour. This sub-scheme narrows that focus to the healthcare manufacturing ecosystem.

Financial assistance is offered to units producing medical equipment, accessories, diagnostics, and AYUSH products. Support comes through Capital Investment Subsidy and Credit Linked Interest Subsidy, intended to boost growth, innovation, and production capacity in these areas.
