About this scheme
The Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS) for the MSME Sector, introduced in July 2015 and valid through May 2027, is designed to build a robust MSME ecosystem in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The scheme incentivises industrial activity, encourages greater participation by women, and seeks to lower unemployment among the local population.
One component of IPS is the "Assistance To Small And Medium Enterprises (SME) For Raising Of Capital Through SME Exchange." This sub-scheme offers financial support to MSMEs for the costs incurred when listing on an SME Exchange. By covering part of the expenses related to equity fundraising, it enables smaller enterprises to access wider capital markets for expansion, diversification, and long-term stability, which in turn supports regional economic growth and helps MSMEs address market-related challenges.
