About this scheme
Under the Healthcare & Ayush Care Investment Policy 2020, the full cost of quality certifications for Ayush drugs is reimbursed — 100%, subject to a ceiling of ₹5 lakh.
Because the reimbursement is total, a manufacturer pays nothing towards certification fees up to that limit.
This provision operates separately from the policy's quality control subsidy, which covers 30% of costs up to ₹2 crore. The two serve different purposes: certification relates to the third-party marks required for a product to be sold and exported, whereas quality control relates to the testing capability that underpins those marks.
A manufacturer investing in both may claim under each provision.
