About this scheme
Under the Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Policy 2021-30, stamp duty and court fee are fully exempted at 100% for units established in the Union Territory.
Documents executed by the unit — usually land or lease deeds, mortgage papers and loan documents registered during setting up or expansion — carry no stamp duty or court fee under this benefit. Since it operates as a waiver and not a cash disbursement, the gain is realised as a cost avoided at the time of registration.
The exemption, as stated in the policy, covers all industries, commercial and institutional units included. Claims are filed through the J&K Single Window portal, together with the other incentives offered under the same policy.
