About this scheme

Under the Healthcare & Ayush Care Investment Policy 2020, an integrated Ayush medical hospital located beyond municipal corporation limits may be allotted land of up to 2 acres, subject to availability.

The allotment carries a condition: a minimum capital investment of ₹30 crore must be made for a 50-bedded hospital within 5 years.

For a hospital project of this scale outside city limits, land is the binding constraint, which means the allotment holds greater value to the promoter than its book value alone would indicate.

The policy's 'subject to availability' qualification should be noted, however — the site is not assured.
