J&K IT Recruitment Reimbursement

Under the J&K IT/ITeS Policy 2020, an IT or ITeS unit based in Jammu & Kashmir is eligible for a yearly reimbursement of Rs 26,000 against each new IT/ITeS professional hired during that year.

To qualify, a unit must take on no fewer than 50 new professionals in the year. Reimbursement is calculated on a ceiling of 500 recruits per year. The benefit remains available for up to 5 years from the date the unit commences operations, allowing a unit with steady hiring to claim it over five consecutive years.

Claims are made as a post-facto reimbursement, filed through the policy's application process on the J&K Single Window portal.

1. Enrol your IT/ITeS unit on the J&K Single Window portal, as required under the J&K IT/ITeS Policy 2020. 2. Keep recruitment records that document the new professionals taken on during the claim year. 3. Submit the annual reimbursement claim, attaching the new recruits' appointment letters together with payroll records and statutory proof (EPF/ESI). 4. The department verifies the claim against the recruit thresholds — a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 500. 5. Reimbursement is disbursed for the headcount found eligible.

No competitive selection is involved. Verification is carried out against the eligibility conditions set out in the policy — namely the unit's registration and the number of recruits for the year — and reimbursement is made for the headcount that qualifies.
