About this scheme

Under the Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Policy 2021-30, a qualifying unit receives a full refund of its net SGST for a decade, counted from 1 April 2021.

Net SGST refers to the State GST paid in cash once input tax credit has been adjusted. The refund therefore reflects the value added within J&K, not gross sales. For a unit producing at meaningful volumes, this tends to be the largest single incentive available under the policy, and it returns each filing period instead of being a one-time payment.

The policy extends this to all industries, commercial and institutional units included. No upper limit in rupees is specified for this component.
