About this scheme
Under the J&K Affordable Slum Housing Development Policy, 2020, land use conversion charges are waived for organisations involved in housing, slum rehabilitation or township development. The waiver applies to the EWS and LIG housing constructed in excess of the mandatory reservation.
The size of the exemption rises in step with the volume of additional affordable housing delivered. Building above the minimum quota therefore carries a direct financial benefit.
