About this scheme

Under the Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021, production subsidy is available to web series and original shows produced for OTT platforms, on the following terms:

- Where at least 50% of total shooting days are completed in J&K — up to ₹50 lakh, or 25% of the total Cost of Production (COP), whichever is lower - Where at least 75% of total shooting days are completed in J&K — up to ₹1 crore, or 25% of COP, whichever is lower

These slabs follow the same structure as those for feature films. Eligibility turns on the proportion of the show's total shooting days spent in J&K, while the 25%-of-COP limit fixes the maximum payable amount.

For a streaming series with a budget under ₹4 crore, the percentage-based calculation, rather than the rupee ceiling, decides the final subsidy amount.
