About this scheme

The Lease Rental Rebate Scheme for Goan Diaspora was introduced in 2018 as part of the Information Technology Policy Schemes run by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. It offers lease rental rebates to IT Units that operate within Goa and have a link to the Goan Diaspora.

The scheme's main aim is to position Goa as an appealing base — both geographically and in terms of human resources — for IT units, drawing in investment and encouraging expansion in the region. By reducing the weight of lease costs, it seeks to motivate businesses to set up and scale their operations in Goa.

This in turn is intended to support the state's economic development and generate employment for local residents.
