Market Support Scheme for Smaller Business Units (State/ UT — Goa)

The Market Support Scheme for Smaller Business Units, introduced in 2018, operates under the Information Technology Policy Schemes of the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. Its purpose is to provide market support to eligible Information Technology Units in Goa.

The scheme reimburses 50% of exhibition rental costs, capped at 9 square metres of space, for participation in national and international exhibitions. It forms part of Goa's broader IT Policy, which seeks to position the state as a favourable base for IT Units in terms of geography and human resources.

By reducing the financial load of market outreach, the scheme enables local IT businesses to improve their visibility, connect with partners and clients, and access new markets.

1. **Register on the Goa Online Portal:** Go to the official Goa Online website (goaonline.gov.in) and select "Register" located in the top right corner. 2. **Verify Your Identity:** Authenticate your Email ID and Mobile Number using the OTP sent to you. This will direct you to the Registration Page. 3. **Complete the Registration Process:** Fill in every required field on the Registration Page. Create a Login Name and Password, review and accept the Declaration and Terms & Conditions, enter the Captcha Code, and press "Register/Signup". 4. **Log In to the Portal:** Access the website by entering your new Login Name and Password along with the Captcha Code. 5. **Locate the Scheme Application:** From the top ribbon, choose "Services" and then "IT Services". Search for and select the "Market Support Scheme for Smaller Business Units" to open the application form. 6. **Fill Out and Upload Documents:** Complete all mandatory sections of the application form and attach the necessary documents. 7. **Submit Your Application:** Once submitted, a unique registration number will be issued. Keep this number for future use.

**Important Note:** Submit your application at least 60 days before attending an exhibition to obtain pre-approval. After incurring the relevant costs, you may apply for reimbursement on a quarterly, bi-annual, or annual schedule.

The application is first reviewed, with this initial check generally finished within 30 days of submission. After that, the case goes to the Empowered Committee for its decision. The committee's verdict, along with the sending of regret letters or sanction orders and the release of funds, is normally completed within 90 days from the date the application was received.
