Nagaland Power Tariff Subsidy 2025

Under Clause 6.13 of NTIIP 2025, relief is directed at manufacturing units that consume large amounts of energy. A unit qualifies where its installed power capacity stands at 100 KVA / 134 HP or above. Such units may claim back 25% of the power tariffs they actually pay, spread over five years, with the reimbursement in any single year limited to Rs 5 lakhs.

The ceiling applies year by year, not as a single lifetime amount. A qualifying unit can therefore lodge a claim in each of the five years, calculated against the electricity bills it has actually incurred during that year.

Units whose installed power capacity falls below the 100 KVA / 134 HP threshold are not covered by this clause.

- Confirm that the unit's installed power capacity stands at 100 KVA / 134 HP or higher - File an application with the Nagaland Department of Industries and Commerce as provided under clause 6.13 of NTIIP - Attach the sanctioned load certificate issued by the power department along with the paid electricity bills covering the claim year - Lodge the claim annually, during the five-year window

The Department checks three things before it pays out: the sanctioned load, whether the unit qualifies, and the electricity bills already settled. Once these are confirmed, 25% of the tariff is released, subject to the annual cap of Rs 5 lakh.
