About this scheme
Under Clause 12.8 D 17 of the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022, Punjab extends support to MSMEs that enrol in the Design Clinic Scheme, delivered in partnership with the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
Participation in the scheme's design awareness programmes carries a contribution fee payable by industry. Punjab reimburses this amount at ₹1 lakh per programme.
The measure is aimed at encouraging small manufacturers to view industrial and product design as a means of sharpening competitiveness, rather than as a discretionary expense. By covering the contribution, the state brings participation in NID's awareness programmes to no net cost for the unit.
