About this scheme
Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 sets aside an early-bird incentive for the first 5 MSME units and the first 5 large units to establish themselves in a new industrial park. The incentive takes the form of a full reimbursement of net SGST for 12 years, counted from the date of commercial production, and is capped at 125% of Fixed Capital Investment.
This incentive is granted instead of the investment subsidy that applies to different categories of units. A unit therefore chooses one route or the other, not both.
Since the number of slots is limited to five per category in each park, timing becomes the deciding factor in practice. Once the early movers have been allotted the benefit, no further claims can be made against it.
