About this scheme
Under Clause 12.8 C(11) of the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 of Punjab, a unit may claim reimbursement of 75% of the expenditure incurred on technical audits. A distinct ceiling of INR 1.5 lakh applies to each of the audit categories specified: energy, environment, steam, water and safety.
Every one of these audits may be claimed a single time over the period for which the policy remains in force.
Since the ceilings operate separately for each audit instead of being combined into one common limit, a unit that arranges for more than one of them stands to recover a substantial portion of what is generally regarded as an unavoidable compliance expense.
