Punjab MSME E-Commerce Onboarding Subsidy

Under Clause 12.8 D 21 of the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 of Punjab, an MSME can recover half of what it spends to get listed and begin selling online. The unit must first onboard onto the e-commerce platform built by NSIC, or onto any comparable platform that the State Government or the Government of India has approved. Against that cost, 50% is reimbursable, capped at ₹25,000 per unit.

Only the first 1,000 units can avail the benefit, and only while the policy remains in force. Units that apply earlier are therefore more likely to secure it.

The measure targets small manufacturers who have never sold beyond their own district. For such units, the fee for setting up and listing a catalogue is the principal obstacle standing between them and a first online order.

- Register the unit on the NSIC e-commerce platform, or on any other platform that has been approved, and settle the onboarding fee. - Keep the platform invoice, evidence of payment and proof of listing on file. - Submit the digital marketing support claim through the Invest Punjab Business First portal, under the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022. - Attach the Udyam registration along with the unit's details. - Apply without delay — only the first 1,000 units are eligible for this benefit.

The department checks the onboarding and the cost, after which it pays back half the amount, capped at ₹25,000. Applications are not ranked against one another; they are processed in the order received, and the scheme closes once 1,000 units have been claimed for the policy period.
