Punjab Quality Certification Subsidy 2022

Under Clause 12.8 D 16 of the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022, Punjab covers the entire cost of quality certification for MSMEs in the state. The reimbursement applies to all quality certifications — ISO-type standards, product certifications and the Ministry of MSME's ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) certification — and is capped at ₹10 lakh per unit.

For a small manufacturer, the expense of certification is a familiar obstacle when bidding for institutional or export orders. This incentive clears that obstacle: the unit settles the certifying body's fee, then recovers the whole sum from the department.

1. Secure the quality certification from the certifying body, paying the applicable fees. 2. Retain the invoices, evidence of payment and the certificate. 3. Submit the reimbursement claim through the Invest Punjab Business First portal, under the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022. 4. Include the Udyam registration and details of the unit. 5. The department checks the expenditure and disburses the reimbursement.

The department verifies two things before releasing any money: that the applicant qualifies as an MSME unit, and that the certification cost was genuinely paid. Once both are confirmed, the expenditure is reimbursed, subject to a maximum of ₹10 lakh.
