About this scheme

The Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024 introduced the "Scheme for Assistance to MSMEs for Market Development", which the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Rajasthan, administers. Through this scheme, MSMEs in the state are supported in expanding their operations and extending their reach into new markets.

Financial assistance under the scheme allows MSMEs to take part in market development activities — national and international trade fairs, industry-specific exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets. Participation in these events gives enterprises a route to new markets, a platform to present their products and services, opportunities to build contacts with prospective buyers and partners, and exposure to current industry trends.

The scheme sits within the wider Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024 and remains in force until March 31, 2029, giving eligible enterprises a defined period in which to draw on its benefits. Delivery is handled through the concerned District Industries & Commerce Centres (DICC) under the Department of Industries & Commerce, while the Office of the Commissioner, Industries & Commerce, acts as the nodal agency for supervision and coordination at the state level. This arrangement is intended to ensure benefits reach MSMEs across Rajasthan efficiently and widely, aiding their market expansion and economic resilience.

How applications are assessed

The General Manager at the relevant District Industries & Commerce Centre (DICC) carries out the first round of scrutiny of each application. Eligible MSME units are then selected, and the financial assistance approved and sanctioned, by the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC). Through this two-stage process, applicants are checked against the scheme's criteria, and their participation is assessed for alignment with the scheme's objectives on product profiles, fair themes and market development relevance.
