About this scheme
For an inland exporter, freight is among the largest cost heads, and Rajasthan lacks a seaport. Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024, part of that burden is covered: manufacturing and sunrise-sector enterprises that qualify may seek reimbursement of 25% of total freight expenses incurred on goods dispatched for export via State ICDs and/or the air cargo complex, capped at INR 25 lakh per exporting unit per annum.
Two conditions determine the claim. The route is the first — shipments qualify only if they move through Rajasthan's own inland container depots or air cargo complex. The second is registration: only exporting units registered within Rajasthan are eligible.
Because the ceiling is reset annually, an exporter shipping regularly can claim the benefit each year rather than once during the unit's lifetime.

How to apply
1. Enrol the exporting unit in Rajasthan and on the Rajnivesh single-window portal. 2. Send export consignments via State ICDs and/or the air cargo complex. 3. Lodge the RIPS 2024 freight incentive claim for the financial year. 4. Attach freight invoices, shipping bills and proof of export. 5. Submit payment proofs for the freight charges claimed.
How applications are assessed
There is no competitive selection involved. The department checks the export documents, confirms that the consignment was routed via a state ICD or air cargo complex, and verifies the freight amount actually paid. On that basis, it reimburses 25%, subject to the annual ceiling.
Frequently asked questions
How much can I claim?
