About this scheme
Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024, an enterprise that borrows through SIDBI's Green Finance Scheme — the facility that funds energy efficiency, renewable energy and cleaner-production investments — is eligible for an interest subvention of 6% on that loan.
The state absorbs six percentage points of the interest on loans for eligible green activities. This reduces the effective cost of borrowing, and the benefit accrues over the life of the loan rather than as a lump sum.
SIDBI remains the lender, and the loan is extended on SIDBI's own terms and stays repayable. The state incentive applies only to the interest component.
Claims are made through Rajasthan's single-window investment portal as part of the RIPS 2024 application process.

How to apply
- Secure approval of a loan under the Green Finance Scheme of SIDBI for an activity that qualifies - Complete registration of the enterprise on the Rajnivesh single-window portal - Submit the RIPS 2024 claim to avail the interest subvention - Enclose the sanction letter from SIDBI, the loan account statement and the interest certificates
How applications are assessed
There is no competitive selection involved. Once SIDBI has issued its sanction, the department checks that the sanction is genuine and that the activity being financed meets the eligibility conditions. The interest subvention is then disbursed on the basis of the interest the borrower has actually paid.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the subvention?
Loans for activities covered under SIDBI's Green Finance Scheme carry an interest rate of 6%.
Does the state give me the loan?
No. The loan comes from SIDBI through its Green Finance Scheme, while Rajasthan provides the interest subsidy on it.
Which activities qualify?
Under RIPS 2024, eligibility is tied to SIDBI's Green Finance Scheme, so only units covered by that scheme fall within this clause.
Is there a rupee cap?
The clause specifies a 6% subvention rate and does not attach any rupee amount to this item.
Do I still repay the loan?
Yes. The borrower remains liable to SIDBI for both the principal and the interest; the state covers only the subvention component.
Where do I apply?
Under RIPS 2024, you can apply through Rajasthan's Rajnivesh single-window portal once the SIDBI loan has been sanctioned.
