About this scheme
Land used for a manufactured-sand (M-Sand) unit must be converted from agricultural or non-industrial use, and the conversion charges involved can form a sizeable part of setting up the unit. Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 provides that 75% of this conversion charge is exempted, while the remaining 25% is paid and later reimbursed.
The charge is therefore neutralised in full, though it happens in two stages — three-quarters of it is never billed, and the final quarter is paid at the time of conversion and refunded once a claim is made.
This benefit forms one part of the M-Sand package offered under RIPS 2024, and is claimed through Rajasthan's single-window investment portal.
