Sant Ravi Das Swarojgaar Yojana

The Sant Ravi Das Swarojgaar Yojana, run by the Tribal Welfare and SC Department of Madhya Pradesh, is designed to encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship among Scheduled Caste (SC) residents of the state. It provides financial support for establishing new manufacturing units or expanding existing ones, with project costs between ₹1 lakh and ₹50 lakh. Service and retail trade ventures are also covered, with funding ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹25 lakh.

A central feature of the programme is an annual interest subsidy of 5% on both Term Loans and Working Capital Loans. This subsidy remains available for up to 7 years, including any moratorium period, provided the beneficiary keeps up with regular loan repayments. In addition to monetary assistance, the Yojana includes a 12-day online entrepreneurship development training module to build essential business skills among participants.

Following this, shortlisted proposals are assessed for project viability and compliance with the scheme’s guidelines. A designated committee within the department makes the final selection, approving only those self-employment proposals that are both eligible and feasible.
