About this scheme

Under the Sikkim Industrial and Investment Policy 2024, new industrial units that qualify for support can claim reimbursement or exemption of stamp duty. The relief covers up to half of the duty paid, capped at Rs 25.00 lakh. It applies solely to the land parcel used for establishing the industrial unit.

Where the unit is run by a woman entrepreneur, the exemption is total — 100% of stamp duty, up to a ceiling of Rs 50.00 lakh.

How to apply

1. Enrol the enterprise and its project on Sikkim's single-window portal. 2. Complete the land document for the industrial unit and either remit the stamp duty or lodge a claim for it. 3. Submit the incentive claim, attaching the land deed, particulars of the project and evidence that the duty has been paid. 4. The department scrutinises the claim and approves the reimbursement or exemption.
