About this scheme

The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa, administers the Stamp Duty Reimbursement Scheme. It targets startups, incubators, and accelerators operating within the state. The scheme reduces the financial load of property transactions that are necessary for business operations.

For eligible entities, stamp duty on land lease or sale transactions is capped at ₹100. Any amount paid above this limit to the relevant authorities is reimbursed to the applicant. This lowers the cost of acquiring or leasing infrastructure, supporting business setup and expansion. The scheme also aligns with the Goa Start-up Policy 2017, contributing to the state's startup ecosystem.
