About this scheme
The Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022 (TIIPIS 2022) is an industrial incentive package of the Government of Tripura, run by the Department of Industries and Commerce. Among its rolling components is a full refund of the fees that a micro or small enterprise pays to obtain Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) cover on a loan from a bank or an NBFC.
CGTMSE cover is the route by which many micro and small units in India access a term or working-capital loan with limited collateral. The Trust levies a one-time guarantee fee when cover is taken, and a service fee each year for as long as the cover remains in force. Under this TIIPIS component, the State refunds both in full: 100% reimbursement of the one-time guarantee fees and of the annual service fees. The clause sets no rupee ceiling — the claim equals the amount actually paid for the cover, not a fixed sum.
This incentive operates as a programme in its own right. It falls within TIIPIS 2022 and is claimed through that scheme's process, but it is a separate reimbursement, distinct from capital investment subsidy, GST reimbursement, interest reimbursement and the other TIIPIS components. It remains open on a rolling basis, with no advertised closing date. Applications are filed through the State's SWAAGAT single-window portal at https://swaagat.tripura.gov.in/. The payment is a reimbursement — neither a loan nor equity: the unit pays the CGTMSE fees to the lender or the Trust first, retains the receipts, and then claims the same amount back from the State.
The clause is intended for micro and small enterprises, not medium or large units. The unit must operate in Tripura, and the CGTMSE cover must be on a loan granted by a bank or an NBFC. No sector list is prescribed, this clause carries no DPIIT Startup India mandate, and there is no requirement to relocate to a park. Founders retain their equity. The reimbursement is not repayable. The Department of Industries and Commerce processes claims against proof of the fees paid and of the underlying loan and cover.

How applications are assessed
No pitch round or competitive selection applies. The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, checks every claim against the TIIPIS 2022 clause: the claimant has to be a micro or small enterprise, the loan has to come from a bank or an NBFC, CGTMSE cover has to have been taken on that loan, and the receipts have to match the one-time guarantee fee along with the yearly service fees. Claims that are incomplete or do not match are sent back for correction.
Once a claim is verified, the fees paid are reimbursed in full. Applicants are not ranked against one another.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is reimbursed?
The full amount of both the one-time guarantee fee and the annual service fee is covered, provided the micro or small enterprise has taken CGTMSE cover on a loan from a bank or an NBFC.
Is there a rupee ceiling?
No rupee ceiling is specified in the clause; the full amount of the fees actually paid for the cover is reimbursed.
Who can claim it?
Tripura's micro and small enterprises holding CGTMSE cover on a bank or NBFC loan fall under this head; medium and large units do not.
Does the State take equity, and do I repay the money?
No. This is a subsidy reimbursement, which means it is equity-free and does not have to be repaid.
Where do I apply?
Apply through the Government of Tripura's SWAAGAT single-window portal at https://swaagat.tripura.gov.in/, under the Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022.
Is this a separate scheme from the rest of TIIPIS 2022?
Under TIIPIS 2022, this is incentive 8, claimed as a separate programme. Applications go through the same SWAAGAT portal, and the Department of Industries and Commerce remains the administering authority.
What proof is typically needed?
To claim this support, you must provide proof that your unit qualifies as a micro or small enterprise in Tripura, along with the bank or NBFC loan sanction, evidence of CGTMSE cover, and receipts for the one-time guarantee fee and the yearly service fees being claimed.
Is there a deadline?
No closing date is advertised; claims under TIIPIS 2022 are accepted on an ongoing basis.
