Department of IT and E-Governance, Government of Jharkhand

The Department of Information Technology and E-Governance serves as the Government of Jharkhand's nodal agency for IT policy, digital governance, and startup ecosystem development. It administers the Startup Jharkhand initiative, established under the Jharkhand Startup Policy of 2016. Through its executive arm, the department manages startup registration, incentive disbursement, and innovation infrastructure, including the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab in Ranchi.

The department's mandate aligns with technology startups building products for governance, digital infrastructure, and public service delivery, particularly those in IT, BPO/BPM, and electronics system design and manufacturing.
