Assistance for Participation in Acceleration Programs

The Haryana Startup Policy 2022 includes a financial assistance component for eligible startups registered in the state. The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana, administers this initiative through the Startup Haryana platform. The department’s objective is to build a supportive entrepreneurial environment in Haryana, offering fiscal incentives and enabling infrastructure for new businesses.

Under this scheme, startups can receive reimbursement for expenses incurred while participating in recognised domestic or international acceleration programmes. Eligible startups may claim up to ₹2,50,000 per year. Covered costs include programme fees, travel, lodging, and other directly related operational expenses. The support is intended to reduce the financial burden of accelerator participation, which provides structured growth methods, mentorship, investor networking, and market access.

Funds are reserved solely for easing the cost of joining acceleration opportunities. This allows Haryana-based startups to access these resources without significant financial strain. Reimbursable items include direct programme charges as well as logistical costs such as transport and accommodation needed for active involvement. Through this support, the state government seeks to improve the competitiveness and scalability of local ventures, connecting them with national and global innovation networks.

Applications must be submitted solely through the official Invest Haryana portal, which acts as the central hub for all startup-related policies and incentives in the state. Applicants are required to either register a new account or log in to gain access to the application form. The procedure generally entails providing comprehensive details about the startup and the accelerator programme, followed by the submission of all requisite supporting documents. These documents comprise the DPIIT recognition certificate, the formal offer or acceptance letter from the accelerator programme, itemised expense receipts and invoices covering every cost for which reimbursement is claimed, and the startup's bank particulars for direct fund transfer. After submission, the Department of Industries & Commerce reviews the applications. Reimbursement is released only after this review is successful and the startup has concluded its participation in the accelerator programme, thereby guaranteeing that disbursements correspond to actual, incurred expenditures.

Applications are submitted via the Invest Haryana portal following completion of an accelerator programme. Required documents include a DPIIT certificate, the accelerator’s acceptance letter, and expense receipts. The Department of Industries & Commerce checks each submission against the expenses actually incurred. Once verification is successful, a reimbursement of up to ₹2.5 lakh per year is processed.
