Assistance for Participation in Acceleration Programs

Under the Haryana Startup Policy 2022, the state provides financial assistance to eligible startups registered in Haryana. The scheme is run by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana, through Startup Haryana. The department works to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state by offering fiscal incentives and infrastructure to new businesses.

Startups that take part in recognised domestic or international acceleration programmes can claim reimbursement of certain expenses, up to ₹2,50,000 per year. The reimbursement covers programme fees, travel, lodging and other operational costs tied directly to participation. Accelerators give startups access to structured growth methods, mentorship, networking with investors and industry leaders, and exposure to wider markets. The scheme is meant to ensure that financial constraints do not stop promising startups from using these resources.

The funds are meant only to reduce the financial barriers to joining premier acceleration programmes. Eligible expenses include programme charges as well as logistics such as transport and accommodation required for full participation. Through this support, the Haryana government seeks to improve the competitiveness and scalability of local startups and connect them with national and global innovation networks.

Applications are accepted only via the official Invest Haryana portal, the single window for all startup policies and incentives offered by the state. To reach the application form, applicants must register an account or sign in. Filling in detailed particulars about the startup and the accelerator programme forms the core of the process, after which all supporting documents must be uploaded. The documents called for are the DPIIT recognition certificate, the accelerator programme's official offer or acceptance letter, full expense receipts and invoices covering every cost claimed for reimbursement, and the startup's bank details so that funds can be transferred directly. After submission, the Department of Industries & Commerce carries out verification. Reimbursement follows once verification succeeds and the startup has finished participating in the accelerator programme, so that disbursement covers expenses actually incurred.

Applications go through the Invest Haryana portal once an accelerator programme has been completed. Supporting documents required at that stage include a DPIIT certificate, the accelerator acceptance letter and receipts for expenses incurred.

The Department of Industries & Commerce checks each submission against the expenses actually incurred. Where verification succeeds, reimbursement of up to ₹2.5 lakh per year is processed.
