How to apply
- Contact the nearest regional office of the Coir Board, or visit coirboard.gov.in, to determine the applicable sub-scheme (Coir Udyami Yojana for establishing a unit, or Mahila Coir Yojana for women artisans). - Under Coir Udyami Yojana: draft a project report for the coir processing unit, apply for a bank loan from a scheduled bank or RRB, and secure loan sanction. - Submit the bank sanction letter, project report, land or premises documents, and promoter KYC to the Coir Board regional office. - The Coir Board reviews the proposal and registers the project under the scheme; a subsidy sanction letter is then issued. - Finish unit setup and begin operations; the 40% subsidy is credited to your bank loan account following a physical inspection. - Under Mahila Coir Yojana: register with the local Coir Development Officer; free spinning equipment is provided directly after beneficiary verification.
