IPR Reimbursement Scheme

The IPR Reimbursement Scheme, administered by the Goa Startup Mission (SITPC), provides financial support to startups based in Goa for their intellectual property registration expenses. Coverage extends to both national and international IP applications, including all associated fees and costs. Importantly, reimbursement is available regardless of whether the IP is ultimately registered.

Operating under the Goa Start-up Policy 2021, the scheme offers financial assistance to innovative ventures within the state.

- Confirm that your startup holds SITPC certification and maintains an operational office located in Goa. - Proceed with IP registration, whether national or international, and settle the associated government and attorney charges through digital payment methods. - Compile the necessary paperwork: evidence of successful IP registration or the filing receipt, original payment verification (itemised statement, invoices, receipts), a comprehensive report, proof of the Goa office address, and a cancelled cheque from the startup. - Submit the completed application and supporting documents via the designated Apply URL. - SITPC assesses each submission and decides on approval or rejection; reimbursement disbursements are determined by seniority or SITPC’s recommendation, subject to available budget.

SITPC reviews all applications and holds the exclusive authority to approve or decline them. Reimbursements are disbursed according to seniority or as recommended by SITPC, provided funds are available in the budget.
