Startups in Goa operating from privately owned or rented premises can claim reimbursement for their operating expenses under this scheme. The benefit does not extend to startups using government co-working spaces, incubators, or accelerators.

Submit your application via the URL provided on the Goa Startup Mission website. - Attach the required documents: proof of address for the operational office in Goa, a cancelled cheque from the startup, a Goan Domicile/Residence Certificate (if you are seeking 'Local start-up' benefits), and the Aadhaar card of the Director/CEO. - Furnish all relevant bills or invoices from company-certified vendors, along with digital payment proofs for lease, cloud, internet, and software expenses. - Include evidence of property, such as a valid registered Lease Deed, and software licence details where applicable. - The SITPC will assess all applications for eligibility and selection.

How applications are assessed

Applications are assessed by the Startup IT Promotion Cell (SITPC), which holds the exclusive authority to approve or decline submissions. A yearly limit applies to the number of startups chosen under each benefit category: 20 startups for general operating expenses and 25 startups for the lease rental subsidy for 'Local start-ups'.

Can I claim expenses incurred before the policy was announced?

No, only expenses paid digitally after the Goa Start-up Policy 2021 was notified, and within its validity period, qualify for reimbursement.
