About this scheme
The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa, administers the Interest Subsidy Reimbursement Scheme for startups registered in Goa. Under this initiative, projects demonstrating strong potential may receive a grant covering 30% of the interest paid on a bank or commercial loan taken by the startup. The subsidy is intended to offset the interest component of the loan.
This is not a government-provided loan. The startup must secure the commercial or bank loan on its own, and the government subsequently reimburses part of the interest expense. The reimbursement or subsidy amount does not need to be repaid.
