About this scheme

Ladakh's Sustainable Industrial Policy 2022-27 recognises that small producers in the region generally lack access to their own laboratory, R&D bench or packaging line. To bridge this gap, the policy reimburses half of what a unit pays when it hires a recognised Common Facility Centre — whether a research centre, a testing lab for R&D purposes, a packaging facility or a similar setup. The reimbursement is capped at 50% of expenditure, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 1 lakh per unit per year, and can be availed for a maximum of three years.

Eligibility extends to industrial units — both new and existing, irrespective of substantial expansion — as well as registered cooperatives and FPOs. Applicants must operate in the handicraft, handloom, agro and food processing, or aromatic and medicinal plant sectors.
