About this scheme

**Bundled incentives under the Maharashtra scheme are determined by the investment zone (taluka classification) and the size of the enterprise.** The package comprises five main components. First, the Industrial Promotion Subsidy (IPS) allows MSMEs to claim a refund of up to 100% of SGST on their first sale within Maharashtra during the eligibility period. Second, an interest subsidy is available on term loans, set at 5% for Micro and Small units, 3% for Medium units, and 2% for Large units, with higher rates applicable in backward zones.

**The remaining components address operational and capital costs.** A subsidy on electricity tariffs is provided in Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Maharashtra, and backward districts. Additionally, the scheme offers an exemption from stamp duty and registration charges. In backward zones, a waiver of power-connection charges is also granted.
