About this scheme

Under clause 3.4.1.ii of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, Micro, Small and Medium Industrial Units established in Meghalaya are eligible for a State Capital Investment Incentive amounting to 30% of their qualifying capital outlay.

For manufacturing units, the qualifying capital outlay covers the cost of plant and machinery. For services-sector units, it covers construction of building and installation of other durable physical assets.

The incentive is subject to a ceiling of Rs 10 crore for units falling within the Priority Sectors identified by the policy, and Rs 8 crore for all other units.

How to apply

1. Establish the qualifying industrial unit in Meghalaya and finish making the capital investment that meets the eligibility threshold. 2. File an application with the Commerce and Industries Department via the Invest Meghalaya single-window portal. 3. Provide evidence of the investment made in plant and machinery, or in building and durable physical assets, together with the unit's registration papers. 4. The department examines the claim, and the subsidy is disbursed once that verification is complete.
