About this scheme

Under Clause 3.4.8.i.a of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, every unit is entitled to full reimbursement of the employer's Employees' Provident Fund contribution. This support runs for 3 years starting from the date commercial production or operations begin, and extends by 1 additional year in respect of women employees.

The benefit is restricted to employees who are domiciles of Meghalaya.

Reimbursement is capped at whichever of the following is lower: 12% of the employee's basic salary together with applicable dearness allowance and retaining allowance, or Rs 1800 per month.

How to apply

1. Begin commercial production or operations, and register employees under the EPF. 2. Keep on record domicile proof for employees who are Meghalaya residents, along with monthly EPF challans. 3. Submit reimbursement claims at regular intervals through the Invest Meghalaya single window. 4. Once employer contributions are verified, reimbursement is disbursed, subject to the per-employee ceiling.
