About this scheme

Under Clause 3.4.7.ii.a of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, Micro and Small Units can claim full reimbursement of the capital cost involved in drawing an 11 KV and above power line. The cost of transformers is covered under this provision as well. Reimbursement is capped at Rs 10 lakhs.

Where a unit is being established at a location removed from an existing high-tension line, this provision absorbs the whole of that connection expenditure, up to the stated ceiling — one of the heavier one-time costs a new unit would otherwise bear.
