About this scheme
Under Clause 3.4.4.ii of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, small industrial units may claim a further 5% incentive calculated on plant and machinery cost. The amount payable under this head is capped at Rs 50 lakhs.
To qualify, the unit's majority shareholder must be a physically challenged person or an individual belonging to another special category, and must hold domicile status in Meghalaya.
This benefit is over and above the State Capital Investment Incentive that small units ordinarily receive under MIIPP 2024.

How applications are assessed
Before the additional incentive is disbursed, the department checks two things: that the majority shareholder holds special category status and is domiciled in Meghalaya, and that the investment value has been certified. No competitive selection is involved.
