About this scheme

Under Clause 3.4.2.ii of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, industrial units that qualify may claim a State Interest Subvention Incentive against loans they have taken.

The rate of subvention differs by sector. Priority sector units are extended 5% per annum, while those in the non-priority sector receive 4% per annum. In either case, the incentive is available for a maximum of 7 consecutive years.

How to apply

1. Obtain the project loan from a financial institution that is recognised. 2. Through the Invest Meghalaya single window, register both the unit and the loan with the Commerce and Industries Department. 3. For every claim period, furnish the sanction letter, the repayment schedule and the interest paid certificates. 4. Subvention is disbursed once the interest actually paid has been verified.
