About this scheme

Under Clause 3.4.6.iv.a of the Meghalaya Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (MIIPP) 2024, Medium and Large Units can claim 50% of what they spend on putting a Zero Discharge facility in place.

Medium Units may receive up to Rs 5 Lakhs, while the cap for Large Units stands at Rs 10 lakhs.

This provision sits within the policy's wider water conservation package, which also covers rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling and water audit support.

How to apply

1. Finish installing the zero discharge facility at the unit located in Meghalaya. 2. Retain invoices, payment receipts, and evidence of commissioning or completion. 3. Submit the claim to the Commerce and Industries Department via the Invest Meghalaya single window. 4. Funds are disbursed once the department has verified the eligible cost.

The Commerce and Industries Department reviews each claim under MIIPP 2024, checking it against the eligible cost and the size category of the unit concerned. No competitive selection process applies.
