About this scheme
Grid supply in the hills is not always dependable, and the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025 helps units buy their own backup. The state pays 50% of the cost of a captive power generating set plus its installation charge, subject to a ceiling of Rs 7 lakh per unit.
Renewable sources of energy are explicitly included in the clause, so a solar installation for the unit qualifies on the same terms as a diesel genset. The unit must be within five years of commencing production.
